The store contracted with the service was in my case a newsstand/bookstore inside the station, so a safe and recommendable place.
The price of the service in my opinion is a bit excessive especially when it comes to leaving luggage for a few hours (it should be commensurate with time), but overall I am satisfied.

Easy to find, just 5 minutes down the road from Pisa Station. Helpful staff member who showed us where to store it. Luggage storage was just off the reception area. Felt secure enough, however there was no identification to say whose suitcase was whose, so felt like someone could take any suitcase.
