Small hardware shop. Guy just got us to leave our bags on some plastic chairs in the shop (no separate locked room or anything!) it worked out ok, we just left our bags of clothes and took all our important items (phones, passports, wallets, cash) out with us for the day. It was fine but it did not feel secure. If you’ve got money or stuff you want under lock and key, don’t go here. Was handy for us as we did a food tour on our final day in Rio that finished in Lapa so headed straight to airport after. Lapa generally is quite a dodgy area. My wife had her necklace ripped off her neck during the food tour.
